The proof of concept application was built out with Appsheet, a platform recently aquired by Google. Appsheet enables developers and non developers alike to work on build cellular phone applications with a minimal amount of coding. It is not entirely code, there is still the requirement to write queries and lookups. Much of the back end process that is otherwise cumbersome to manage is taken out of the build cycle. It is possible to launch sample applications in minutes that can be modified and viewed on multiple devices.
We are presently working with a small group of testers and were meeting weekly in person prior to the second lockdown and have moved to Zoom. My personal findings using the app has been that my productivity has increased two fold.
Appsheet creates launchers for both android and iphone. An email is sent to the user with a link for the install.
The Urban Aboriginal Ministry does food deliveries. I built out a quick application that includes a google map , calendar and client list. See the screen shots of the phone lauchers and the map.
